Performatrin® Puppy Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dog Food is recommended for Puppies up to one year of age and for breeding dogs, while pregnant or nursing. The amount of food required to maintain your Puppy in an optimum body condition varies according to numerous factors, including size, age and activity level. Use the chart as a guide but make adjustments according to your Puppy’s individual needs. Ideally, divide your Puppy’s daily portion into 2 equal meals per day. Feed pregnant and nursing dogs sufficiently to maintain good body condition. During the last three weeks of pregnancy and while nursing, mothers will require two to three times their normal daily food intake.
When feeding Performatrin® Puppy Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dog Food for the first time, a gradual change from your dog’s current food will minimize digestive upset. Mix ¼ part Performatrin® Puppy Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dog Food with ¾ parts of your current dog food for 2-3 days. Over the next 5-10 days gradually increase the proportion of Performatrin® Puppy Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dog Food and decrease that of your current dog food until you are exclusively feeding Performatrin® Puppy Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dog Food.
